Death Horizon Chapter 6-Feelings

           6 Feelings
19 May 2011, Tuesday
11.00 a.m. – Paris, France.

They were still in the blue building, which is a secret office where some guys had doing the investigation about the disease for like four years ago. Now, Allie knew that those guys knew about the upcoming disease. They had tried to create the cure for the disease before it started but it seems that the disease spread earlier than they thought. Allie looked out at the window. She bites her lips. She still got the feeling. France is not a perfect place to be a shelter. It’s too close, still too close.
“Allie, what’s going on?” Caroline looked at her. She looked back at Caroline and shooked her head. “Come on, Allie. Tell me. I know the Allie would tell me everything that she feels.” She exhaled. She looked at Caroline.
“I don’t know how to say. Carol, do you remember about the netball incident?” Caroline looked up at the ceiling, trying to remember back. She nodded. “Well, I have the same feeling just like that right now.”
Last four or five months ago, a girl named Giza in their class broke her hand when she was playing netball. Allie told her that she shouldn’t play netball that they because she felt something bad would happen. And… it happened!
Caroline’s eyes became big. She shook Allie’s shoulder and mouthed ‘No way.’ Allie giggled a little bit. It’s so funny to see her friend panicked like that. “Tell me what are you feeling right now, Allie?”
“Okay, slow down.” Allie took a big breath. “Carol, I don’t know if this is true or not, but I feel something bad would happen. France, I know it’s not a safe place. Come on, dude. It’s just beside London!” Caroline screamed. Allie covered her mouth. “I told Alex but he just doesn’t want to listen to me! He said I’m just kidding but I’m not!”
Allie looked at Alex. He just stood beside Mrs. Kyle. Allie knew he felt the same like her but he just doesn’t want to believe it. Allie and Caroline went to Alex. Allie pulled his hand. He raised his eyebrows. “Please don’t talk about that stuff…”
Caroline cut his words. “Crap you. Believe in your sister. I believe in her. You should believe in her. She is your biological sister.” Alex looked away. He crossed his arms, he shooked his head and scratched his head.
“I believe.” Alex said. He smiled, “I know. I believe in you, Allie but you know, let the adults settle this.” He pointed to their mom and dad then to Jeremy. “They’re smarter than us. Maybe they know the right for us.” That was like the first time ever Allie had ever seen his twin brother talked serious matters. She wanted to laugh but she holds it. She wanted Alex to finish his words. “We can’t do anything now. London, it’s gone.” Allie smiled. She wished she can turn back the times. She wanted to be in her comfy bed right now. She would pay millions to get her comfy bed. She wanted the old life. Not the miserable life right now. No, she needs to do something.
“You’re right Alex, but sometimes we need to help them and guide them to the right road. Doesn’t mean if they’re adults they can’t do anything wrong!” She walked past Alex and straight to Jeremy and her parents.
“Jeremy, mom, dad, you need to listen to Me.” Almost everyone turned their head to Allie. Mrs. Kyle put her hand on Allie’s shoulder.
“What is it, dear?” Allie told them what she felt but Jeremy laughed at her. Again, the second times she heard that word, “Are you a psychic?” She nodded. She told them that sometimes a small feeling could change something big. And she made the entire building laughed including her dad. Alex stood beside her.
“She’s right! What’s wrong? What’s wrong when you have a feeling on something bad would happen?” Caroline joined them and nodded. They laughed one more time.
“You guys are sick! This is ridiculous! Let’s get back to work, guys! We have a big problem to settle in.” Jeremy said. Allie went to Jeremy. She had her most angry face. She looked into Jeremy’s eyes. Jeremy was shocked. “Please don’t do that again.”
“You’re the one who are sick! You don’t want to listen to anyone’s thought!” She had both of her hands on her waist. Her dad tried to calm her down. “Dad, I’m not a little child anymore.” She walked to the door and went outside. Mrs. Kyle wanted to follow her but Alex stopped her.
“It’s okay, mom. Caroline and I will try to settle her down. Maybe, we’ll bring her around France?” She nodded.
“Alright, but please call me if anything happens, okay?” Alex went out the door followed by Caroline. Allie was sitting on the staircase. She can’t believe it. She hated it. She hated the adults…
